Speaking from the Dust
Speaking from the dust, they’re calling calling my name
All alone and lost, I turn another page
There’s more than words on each page but I don’t know what
I hear more than what they say when my heart opens up.
And I hear their voice speaking from the dust.
A whisper soft and warm, but it hits me like a shout
In times of calm and storm to cast away my doubt
Etched in gold but more precious by far
The stories told lead me out of the dark
And I hear their voice speaking from the dust.
I’m in every page and in every story told, it’s written for me so I catch that fire
How many tears have been shed so that I could hold this book in my hands yeah this rod of iron.
Speaking from the dust. I hear their voice speaking from the dust.
Follow
My family’s going but I don’t know where, we’re leaving people for whom we care.
My mother’s heart is broken as her boys go astray, but my father’s vision still leads us away.
And I can’t see the end from where I’m standing now.
I’m asked to walk in the dark but I don’t know how.
My younger brother, I always knew was bound for greater things to do.
And my place right now is by his side.
I’ll help him up when he’s down, I’ll join the fight.
The light is just enough to follow, the further I step the further I see.
Everything looks dark tomorrow, but when I wake up I’ll be ready to leave.
I’ve got to trust that someone is there to lead me to through this mist everywhere
Someone who loves me someone who cares, I have to trust that someone is there.
The light is just enough to follow, the further I step the further I see.
Everything looks dark tomorrow, but when I wake up I’ll be ready to leave.
Free to Roll
I can’t tell you everything the angel showed to me but I can tell you one more thing and you better take some notes
I saw His kingdom building up, deserts, plains, and mountain top, it’s Daniel’s stone that doesn’t stop, cause it was free to roll
Free to roll. Free to roll.
The shot was heard by everyone, the rising and setting sun, it started there in Lexington and it spread across the sea.
Written down by ink and quill, defended by the blood that spilled, now the whole world is filled with the need to be free.
Free to roll. Free to roll.
And finally, a place to gather.
And I saw them sail across that water, father, mother, son, and daughter,
To a promised land and she offers. I saw them sail across that water.
The odds were impossible, the enemy unstoppable, and men and women gave their soul, but there was something more.
This land is under covenant, but we’ll have none of it, if we stop lovin it, so fight against that storm we’re
Free to roll. Free to roll.
And finally, a place to gather.
And I saw them sail across that water, father mother, son, and daughter,
To a promised land and all she offers. I saw them sail across that water.
Waste my Time
I want to feel what others feel but my mind is on other things
It’s time to find out what is real before it’s all too late.
So I make it quiet, so I can try it, and start searching.
I need that fire before I retire to bed I’m already sleeping.
I don’t want to waste my time anymore anymore, it’s time for me to choose a side and not look back
I’ve been taught what is right since I was a little boy, so I’m coming to You tonight to find out for myself.
The world’s voices, they are so loud but I cant hear them anymore
Far from easy but now I’ve finally found what I was looking for.
Now that I’ve found it, I know I’m surrounded, by people who need me.
And if I can show them that their Father knows them what else could they see?
I don’t want to waste my time anymore anymore, it’s time for me to choose a side and not look back
I’ve been taught what is right since I was a little boy, so I’m coming to You tonight to find out for myself.
What if they could realize, what He has in store, for those of us who live our lives, knowing there’s so much more.
I don’t want to waste my time anymore anymore, its time for me to choose a side and not look back
I’ve been taught what is right since I was a little boy, so I’m coming to You tonight to find out for myself.
The Blinding Rush
He walked in to town one day and I knew things would never be the same
He didn’t ask for a single thing, just wanted to help in any way.
The light again swells inside of me, alive and well while everyone else sleeps.
I’ve kept this secret for so long I could not utter a word.
All alone but my heart was strong and I followed it until I thought I’d burst.
When if not now, my chance to finally speak. I don’t know how but He will guide my feet.
You can only hold a river back so long before it rushes on.
The sun cant help shining on the whole day long.
And never have I felt any better.
And so I run from house to house and I cannot say the words fast enough.
This white light has broken out and I cannot hold back the blinding rush.
You can only hold a river back so long before it rushes on.
The sun can’t help from shining on the whole day long.
And never have I felt any better.
I’m out of breath now, but I don’t care
I wont hold my tongue now, cause I’m not scared.
I’ve been sustained, the least I can do,
Is sing His name and bring others who have never felt any better.
If they don’t believe, I’ll speak again, and the Lord will take care of the rest.
This white light has broken out and I cannot hold back the blinding rush.
On Your Side
Well you know it’s going to be hard to wake up after a day like today.
They pushed you around and they don’t listen to a thing you say.
And you try to do the right thing so why would that hurt to do
And I have felt the same as I watched over you.
And you, you’re gonna make it through whoa, like you always do don’t worry
That they’re so cruel cause you got more people you’ve got more than you know on your side.
Do you remember that boy walking around with his friends trying to find someone to hurt.
Everyone knew that he was lost and never coming back, just another waste of work.
That boy is you and look at you now.
The joy was new you thought could not be found.
And I always knew that you would come back
And the Earth shook as I showed you how.
And you, you’re gonna make it through whoa like you always do don’t worry
That they’re so cruel, cause you got more people you got more than you know on your side.
He’ll go before your face so don’t worry about it, anymore.
And help is on the way and I’ll lead you to it, just knock on his door.
And you, you’re gonna make it through whoa like you always do don’t worry
That they’re so cruel cause you got more people you got more than you know on your side.
Blacksmith
Battle the standard has been flown all I want is to join the fight
But my captain asks me for more so my hammer swings day and night
I’m a blacksmith I don’t have a lot to say I’m not found on the frontline but you need me anyway
Cause your heart and soul will get you far but not all the way. If I don’t do what I do, you’ll never see another day.
Tip of the spear helmet and shield, your enemy sees their demise.
Fear to walk on the battlefield cause there’s no one like me on their side.
I’m a blacksmith I don’t have a lot to say, I’m not found on the frontline but you need me anyway
Cause your heart and soul will get you far but not all the way. If I don’t do what I do, you’ll never see another day.
Its what I do its what I know. It’s got a use it goes to show
Even a man such as I is called upon to join the fight.
I’m a blacksmith I don’t have a lot to say I’m not found on the frontline but you need me anyway.
Cause your heart and soul will get you far but not all the way. If I don’t do what I do, you’ll never see another day.
One Another
I haven’t seen you in so long, I’m afraid I forgot the smell of your hair
And they way you sang your morning song. At the start of the day I knew you were there. You were there.
The things I’ve seen I’ll carry with me, and I hope you can still recognize
A single thing you loved about me when you once again look into my eyes.
Would you love me if I came home tomorrow, would you love me if I came home today
Would you love me if I say I’ll throw it all away for chance to see you again. For just a chance I see you again.
Yes it’s hard and yes I miss you and nobody sits in your chair.
The nights are long, the children ask for you when bad dreams make them scared.
But we’re ok, I’ve got this covered there are others who need you now
I wouldn’t trade this man I fell for, I’ll move forward, I’ll wait, and I’ll be proud.
And yes I’ll love you if you came home tomorrow. I’ll love you if you came home today.
I’ll love you any way so don’t throw it all away my love I’ll see you again.
Your steps are my steps your voice is my voice we’re not one without the other.
Your in every breath, you’re in every choice our lives are lived with one another.
And yes I’ll love you if you came home tomorrow, I’ll love you if you came home today.
I’ll love you any way so don’t throw it all away, my love I’ll see you again. For just a chance to see you again.
The Price
The air is cool and the night is deep and I make not a sound while everyone’s asleep
I can’t allow this evil to prevail, outnumbered as I am there’s no way that I fail
If I’m going in I’m never coming out. If I’m going in I’m never coming out.
But I’ve got nothing to worry about you.
Am I willing to pay the price, you ask me once but baby I would do it twice
Some things are bigger than just our lives, when death is not the end you never compromise.
To their charge are lives untold but still much worse than this is the dying of the soul.
So I take things into my hands, my mission is to stop it's not to understand.
It’s the dead of night but everything is clear. I’ve got the light there’s no need for fear
Everything is right as I throw the spear.
Am I willing to pay the price. You ask me once but baby I would do it twice.
Some things are bigger than just our lives. When death is not the end you never compromise.
Sometimes its as simple as dark and light
Sometimes its nothing more than wrong and right.
Don’t forget that this is the eternal fight
To save the souls of men would you give your life.
If I’m going in I’m never coming out. If I’m going in I’m never coming out.
But I’ve got nothing to worry about.
What Happened That Day
I’m getting tired of this little man telling me what to do
So I decide to hit him in the head with a well placed rock or two.
I pick one up it will do just fine, I get him in my sights.
There’s not a breeze everything’s just right, yet I miss him by a mile wide.
How can this be, I can hit a squirrel from a tree. And yet this man is getting away I don’t what happened that day.
I can’t look my friends in the eye, what are they going to say.
When they come to realize I’ve suddenly lost my aim.
But I thought something late last night, no one else scored a hit.
Everything said by that Lamanite, might have been right I must admit.
But I’ll never say what happened to me that day. Cause I don’t really know. That’s why I had to come home.
I must have been a gust of wind. There’s nothing else it could have been. It’s not like an angel knocked it away, that must be what happened that day.
Come and See
It’s not like I pictured it, everything’s in disarray
I wanted to clean up a bit so that He’d want to stay
The storm and the darkness, I still try to cope.
And yet in this rubble I find my hope.
He sees me like I knew He would and I’ve waited so long to see
His arms outstretched as He calls my name and tells me how much He loves me
And He’s here now brighter than day and I can’t seem to move
And He tells me to come and see in His hands and His side the wounds.
Words that I can’t begin to describe. I’ll never be the same.
He sees me like I knew He would and I’ve waited so long to see
His arms outstretched as He calls my name and tells me how much He loves me
And He’s here now brighter than day and I can’t seem to move
And He tells me to come and see in His hands and His side the wounds.
Troubled
What words can I say? My fair people are gone.
I’ve tried not to stay but I can’t leave them alone.
And so I’m cursed to see forsaken light cast down at their feet when once in their eyes.
My heart simply breaks but God’s judgements are just.
Were they saved for my sake to whom could we trust?
I have labored all my days and it seems to be for not. And as they fall away, I can’t stop it I can’t stop.
Despite all of this, let not your heart be troubled.
For now, this is it, but the pain has been overcome.
The price has been paid and hope we have aplenty.
Push on til the day and hold your head up high.
Moroni's Farewell
I buried you in a box of my own making and I don’t think I’ll see you again.
I carried you through the mountains and the rivers, you’ve been my only friend.
You carry the words of my people gone before me and I’ve shed my blood and tears
To keep you safe so that you can tell our story and yet I leave you alone right here.
We saved you for them so you can show if they ask in faith then they will know.
Will they hear the voice of the Savior on the mountain or smell the salt of the sea.
Will they heed the words of the prophets and the martyrs will they join the fight for liberty.
Will they know of your worth as you show them the Master? Will they reach out for His hand
And follow them down the road everlasting? Will they know you’ll help the understand that
We saved you for them so you can show if they ask in faith then they will know.
How are we going to find someone to put you in their hands?
That boy will be something special and he’ll have to understand that
We saved you for them so you can show if they ask in faith then they will know.
Final Call
Hey it’s me again I bet you didn’t think you’d see me coming back so soon.
I just can’t keep it in I cant stop myself from singing. I hope you like the tune.
Everything is going to be alright. Our boy is picking up the book tonight.
The pages are once again gonna see the light. Everything is going to be alright.
I told him years ago how his Father sees him. I told him what’s in store.
His eyes were wide, his heart believing. And I loved him all the more.
Oh! The courage when I told of his future heartbreak and promises
That through him would usher in the final call to follow the Master who conquered all.
Lean In
The days of your life have not gone as you planned
Some things are lost and never return
But take all that strife, put into the proper hands
They're shaped and molded and in the furnace burn
Then what you've got is better than what you lost.
So keep your chin up. Stiffen that spine and lift with your legs.
Don't ever give up. No better time to live than today.
And when the world seems the darkest, remember the Lord has got this.
Lean in to your faith.
Frozen in place unable to move
the lights are low and the walls are closing in.
But there's power in your soul, to get it to come on through
Trust in the One who's etched you in His hands
He'll help you push and pull if you're willing to give control.
So keep your chin up. Stiffen that spine and lift with your legs.
Don't ever give up. No better time to live than today.
And when the world seems the darkest, remember the Lord has got this.
Lean in to your faith.
It's time to follow, follow Him everywhere
Through the good times and through despair
And when the sorrow crosses along your way
He's been there and it will be ok, it will be ok.
So keep your chin up. Stiffen that spine and lift with your legs.
Don't ever give up. No better time to live than today.
And when the world seems the darkest, remember the Lord has got this.
Lean in to your faith.
Who You're Not
Cannot get me down run me out of town. Nah nah nah nah nah nah
Give me your best shot I won't move from my spot. Nah nah nah nah nah
Cause I know who I am and who you're not.
Knock down drag out left and right
The joke's on you it's nothing new and I wont bite.
Cause I've seen too much to turn back now.
The climb is steep but I got two feet and I wont look down.
Cannot get me down run me out of town. Nah nah nah nah nah nah
Give me your best shot I won't move from my spot. Nah nah nah nah nah
Cause I know who I am and who you're not.
Stand alone it may be true.
The arrow throw the storm will blow but I won't move.
Bring it on, let it all combine.
I got the spark to chase the dark and I'll be fine.
Cannot get me down run me out of town. Nah nah nah nah nah nah
Give me your best shot I won't move from my spot. Nah nah nah nah nah
Cause I know who I am and who you're not.
The Chapel Doors
Come around bring your heart and your soul.
I don't know where you come from and I don't know where you go.
Come sit down and stay awhile.
Bring us all your sadness, but you're leaving with a smile.
Come on down, through the chapel doors.
Come on down, through the chapel doors.
No one here is perfect so you see
We all struggle with something, we're beggars your and me.
Broken though we are, there's something more inside.
We're children of the Father whose arms are open wide.
Come on down, through the chapel doors.
Come on down, through the chapel doors.
Broken battered trying to find your home.
Come take my hand brother you're not alone.
When you're rested you'll be ready to rise.
Lift up your head, help someone else inside.
Come on down, through the chapel doors.
Come on down, through the chapel doors.
Keep on Pushin'
It's simple but it's not easy. Got to change the way I see things.
Gotta change everything, everything but my soul.
I struggle why can't it be given? Make easy this life I'm living.
Gotta pry it out, gotta pry it out to make me whole.
I know when I try, I get help every time.
I've felt it more than I could ever say.
I've never been alone on this pathway to my home.
He's been with me every step of the way.
So I...
Keep on pushin, keep on trying. I keep on singing, keep on flyin.
Can't let down my guard no matter how hard.
So I keep on, keep on keep on pushin.
So I keep on, keep on keep on pushin.
People all around and they're cutting the corners feels like they're getting what they don't deserve.
But that's alright. You know I'm fine.
Cause the treasures of the world they glitter and sparkle but they decay better than they serve.
So how bout I walk myself out of line.
Can't worry about the things I can't take when I leave.
I can't forget there's life waiting for me.
When the curtains start to fall, it'll matter not at all
If I didn't break a sweat for the King.
So I....
Keep on pushin, keep on trying. I keep on singing, keep on flyin.
Can't let down my guard no matter how hard.
So I keep on, keep on keep on pushin.
So I keep on, keep on keep on pushin.
Don't be afraid. We all make mistakes.
So get up every single day and keep on...
Keep on pushin.
